Jackie Wayne Hicks, Jr., 37, of Blytheville, Ark., died Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.
Born Dec. 3, 1968 in Kennett, he was the son of Jackie Wayne Hicks, Sr. and Marie Hale Hicks. He was preceded in death by one nephew, Steven Branch.
He was a professional wrestler who wrestled under the name "Jack Diamond" and had worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the Harvest Time Tablenacle.
He served in the United States Army National Guard.
Mr. Hicks leaves his parents, Jackie Wayne Hicks Sr., Marie Hale Hicks of Blytheville; Five sisters: Pam Hobbs of Memphis, Tenn., Paula Hicks of Blytheville, JoLynn Galbraith of Cooter and Sheila Muse and Judy Elliott Sadler of Steele; One half-brother, Kevin Hicks, of Nesbit; Five nieces: Amanda Hobbs of Memphis, Stacie Galbraith of Blytheville, and Samantha Davidson, Lindsey Muse and Brooke Muse of Steele; Five nephews: Steven Hicks and Charlie Galbraith of Blytheville, and Brandon Muse, Keith Elliott and Tyler Elliott of Steele; and One Great-nephew, Christopher Noel, of Memphis.
Funeral services for Mr. Hicks were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2006 at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Dale Ruddick officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Powell Funeral Home in charge of services.
Pallbearers were Brian Tramel, John McCaughey, Steve Lewis, Brandon Muse, Ben Sadler, Troy Hicks, Brice Hicks, Terry Hobbs and Toby Thorne.
